Dr. Lori Gawron is an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah and specializes in family planning and complex contraception. She completed her OBGYN residency, fellowship in family planning and a master's degree in public health at Northwestern University. She has a research interest in reproductive planning and contraceptive utilization for women with chronic diseases, in order to improve pregnancy outcomes for high risk patients. In addition to her position at the University of Utah, she is the section chief of Gynecology at the Salt Lake City Veterans Healthcare Administration and cares for patients through Planned Parenthood Association of Utah.
Dr. Sunanda Kane MD,MSPH is Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Kane is active in clinic with an established IBD practice and sees new patients as well. She has contributed over 120 papers of original research, 50 reviews, and 25 book chapters to the medical literature. She has co-edited a pocket guide to the management of IBD for practitioners, and written a book for patients on self-management. She conducts research in the areas of new therapies, gender specific issues and medication adherence.
