Aisha Mays, MD is a Family Physician who focuses on Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Mays is the Medical Director of the San Francisco Department of Public Health Community Health Programs for Youth, Adjunct Clinical Professor in the UC Berkeley/ UCSF Joint Medical Program, and clinical researcher with the UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health/ Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health. Dr. Mays' work centers on the sexual health risks associated with childhood commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC), adolescent LARC delivery within a reproductive justice framework, and optimizing family planning within the school based health setting. Dr. Mays is the Principal Investigator on a study to implement and evaluate a CSEC informed sexual health education program and Co-Investigator on the HeR Study, to assess adolescent's choices to choose or forgo contraception. Dr. Mays attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and the Family Medicine Residency Program in Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center.
Kathleen Besinque is a Professor of Pharmacy and the Chair of Experiential and Continuing Education at the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. Her clinical practice area is community pharmacy and she specializes in women's health and public health issues. She is actively involved with several professional organizations including the California Pharmacists Association, the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, the Los Angeles Safe Opioid Prescribing Task Force, the California Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
