Dr. Fernandez serves as Associate Medical Director in the Center for Continuing Education (CME) and Director of Medical Dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic, and as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and his PhD in Developmental Biology/Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a member of the Dermatology Resident Education committee and earned the Teacher of the Year award three years in a row for his contributions to the Dermatopathology and Clinical Dermatology residency programs.
Dr. Scott serves as an obstetric hospitalist, which provides her with the flexibility and autonomy to pursue her passions as STI/SRH epidemiology, education, and program evaluation. She obtained her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her clinical and research interests focus on how provider/patient communication and relationships inform disparities in sexual & reproductive health, and how those relationships can be used to improve access to care.
