Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Medical Director!
The Medical Director is responsible to the President/CEO for directing the affiliate clinical services and for developing and implementing medical protocols that are consistent with Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Medical Standards. Further, the Medical Director oversees the clinical work of our physicians, advanced practice nurses, and physician’s assistants, in eight medical centers. This position will work collaboratively with the Vice President of Patient Services and health center management staff in championing optimal performance of licensed staff and provide direct clinical services as needed.
We have been at the forefront of many new developments in our health centers. Our services are comprehensive and include abortion services up to 24 weeks, colposcopy, LEEP, Essure, vasectomy, prenatal and fertility services. We operate two surgical sites and offer medication abortion services, seven days-a-week, in all eight locations. Our medical centers operate in a fully electronic environment, utilizing eClinicalWorks.

Our ideal candidate will have a Medical Degree, a minimum of five years clinical experience and appropriate training and experience in reproductive health care and abortion services. Must be eligible to establish hospital privileges with at least one partnering hospital. Established formal and informal connections and relationships with local hospital administrations, community physicians and physician groups preferred.
