Learning Objectives

  • State the effect of increased access to ECPs on unintended pregnancy in the United States.
  • Identify four explanations for why widespread use of ECPs has not had a significant impact on the unintended pregnancy rate in the United States.
  • Identify the mechanism of action (MOA) of ECPs.

Physicians: The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.
