Environmental Impacts on Reproductive Health: Foundations of Science
Learning Objectives
Participants of this activity will be able to:
- Appreciate the potential impact of exposure to harmful environmental chemicals and heavy metals on reproductive health
- Express the value of incorporating basic questions about environmental risks into the patient history and physical examination
- Utilize resources that provide information about environmental exposures in their particular communities and patient populations
- Refer patients to relevant resources and further information to learn more about their environmental risks
Accreditation Information
Physicians: The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. ARHP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurse Practitioners and Nurses: This educational activity has been approved by the Continuing Education Approval Program of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health for 1 contact hour, including 0.5 pharmacology hours. Credit can be applied toward the nursing continuing requirements of most professional organizations and State Boards of Nursing.
Pharmacists: The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
