Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe all contraceptive options currently available in the U.S.
  • Discuss pros, cons, and efficacy of appropriate methods with patients.
  • Provide up to date evidence based contraceptive care.
  • Practice effective strategies to achieve patients’ contraceptive success.
  • Develop individualized strategies for provision of contraception to patients.

Accreditation Information

Physicians: The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. ARHP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurse Practitioners and Nurses: This educational activity has been approved by the Continuing Education Approval Program of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health for 1.0 contact hour, including 1.0 pharmacology hour. Credit can be applied toward the nursing continuing requirements of most professional organizations and State Boards of Nursing.

Pharmacists: The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
