ARHP is disappointed by yet another delay in ruling on over-the-counter access for emergency contraception (EC). This delay shows a disregard for the medical evidence, which overwhelmingly demonstrates that EC is safe, effective, and easy to use.
Access to EC has the potential to prevent thousands of unintended pregnancies and abortions each year. Delaying over-the-counter status denies women the right to protect themselves.
