Description of Organization: Healthy Teen Network (HTN) is a national non-profit membership organization focused on adolescent health and well-being with an emphasis on teen pregnancy prevention, STI, and HIV/AIDS, as well as supporting pregnant and parenting teens. HTN supports professionals in the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health through training and technical assistance, networking and information sharing, and by advocating for policies which support all adolescents. HTN is located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Position Responsibilities: The Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator will work as part of Healthy Teen Network's Training and Technical Assistance Team to plan, develop, facilitate, assess, and support programs for professionals working in the field of adolescent health. Training and technical assistance events include designing and conducting multi-day, skills-building trainings, workshops, conference presentations, webinars, and intensive technical assistance. This position requires significant knowledge in the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health, specifically in evidence-based approaches and programs to prevent teen pregnancy, HIV, and STI; demonstrated training experience; and ability to travel nationally.
Qualifications: Demonstrate strong knowledge of adolescent development, adolescent sexuality, reproductive health, evidence-based approaches and programs, and adolescent pregnancy, STI, and HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
Have experience coordinating and conducting training events and technical assistance with a variety of adult audiences.
Have experience developing training designs, including learning objectives, interactive activities to reach learning objectives, and related tools, resources, and materials.
Demonstrate exceptional training skills in leading large group discussion, group facilitation, and managing controversial subject matter using a wide range of training strategies.
Possess strong knowledge of relevant theories including adult learning, social learning, and stages of change theories.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem Have the ability to conduct research on the latest training techniques and research methodologies, as well as topics related to STI, HIV/AIDS prevention, youth development, adolescent health, teen pregnancy prevention, supporting pregnant and parenting teens, healthy relationships, and other relevant topics.
Demonstrate proficient written and oral communication skills in English.

Be self-motivated to work independently and collaboratively with a training and evaluation team.
Be willing and able to travel throughout the country two-three times per month, for up to five days at a time.
