Training Coordinator

Salary: $15-17/HR. DOE

Description of Organization:
Providing high quality sexual and reproductive health care; promoting comprehensive, age-appropriate sexual health education; and protecting reproductive rights.

Position Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Organizational Effectiveness Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and delivering PPCW’s training program for clinic and administrative staff, including New Employee Orientation, computer and clinical training. This position will also support the Human Resources department as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and deliver training classes, including New Employee Orientation, front and back office clinical training, NextGen EPM/EMR, BLS Certification and other training as requested by agency. Teaching responsibilities will comprise 25-40% of the position.
  • Assist manager with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Work closely with the Patient Services department to evaluate clinical trainings and content. Make on-going recommendations to improve/change/add to the clinical training program.
  • Track completion of training and update clinical competency standards.
  • Prepare training materials and order administrative/medical supplies prior to each class.
  • Responsible for initial and ongoing communication with supervisors and attendees for event registration and follow up.
  • Administer and assist in analyzing course evaluations for process improvement.
  • Conduct individual training sessions with staff as requested by the supervisor.
  • Assist Volunteer Services with volunteer training programs as necessary.
  • Support HR department recruitment by attending career fairs and student functions
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of clinic workflows and objectives, while supporting the goals and business objectives of the organization.
  • Perform training and/or present information about PPCW abortion services.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to sit up to 8 hours per day, perform repetitive hand movements (simple & power grasping, fine hand manipulation, pushing/pulling) up to 6 hours per day, stand up to 4 hours per day, walk/bend & twist neck/ bend & twist at the waist/ kneel/reach below & above shoulder height & move items weighing up to 50 lbs., drive to other healthcare centers up to 1 hour per day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Intermediate computer skills including proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to deliver training to a variety of audiences.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience Required:

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years experience in healthcare, including front office and back office.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in delivering training, including evidence of curriculum development and design.
