Reproductive Health Program Management Fellowship

Description of Organization: The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP)—one of the best and most unique places to work in Washington, DC—invites emerging professionals to apply for a 9-month Reproductive Health Program Management Fellowship with an organization that has a team of passionate, committed, smart, and savvy professionals. One fellowship will be awarded.
ARHP is a pro-choice medical association with a mission to educate health care providers, the public, and policymakers. Advancing reproductive health for over 45 years, ARHP is widely known as the convener of renowned, passionate and committed professionals in the field.
Position Responsibilities: The Reproductive Health Program Management Fellow works within the education team. The education team has a number of projects underway related to continuing professional education programs. There will be opportunities to build skills in leadership development, administering program operations, and be involved in collaboration with other staff through design, coordination, and implementation of appropriate systems for program implementation.
Specific responsibilities include:
Program Management
- Overall management of an assigned accredited educational program which will include:
- Developing, monitoring, and enforcing timelines.
- Ensuring program expenses remain within budget.
- Generating evaluation outcomes plan and overseeing monitoring and evaluation data.
- Ensuring appropriate expert program advisory committee input on development of educational curricula and medical content.
- Working collaboratively with the expert program advisory committee, medical writer, evaluation consultants, and technology vendors to develop and implement programs.
- Managing continuing medical education (CME) accreditation compliance according to guidelines from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), and other appropriate accrediting bodies.
- Developing and continuously updating content for program-related pages for the ARHP web site.
- Working collaboratively with ARHP’s development team in preparing progress reports for program funders.
Representing ARHP
Attending coalition meetings and staffing educational sessions, when necessary.
Administration
Performing general office administrative duties such as data entry and answering telephone.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will:
- Have earned a master’s degree in public health, management, or related area of study or be a student who has completed 80% of Masters course work.
- Be proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate excellent computer, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Be knowledgeable about reproductive health topics, continuing medical education, and program evaluation.
- Have oral and written fluency in Spanish.
Fellows are expected to commit to 25 – 35 hours per week during ARHP business hours, which are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. The fellowship will start in late spring/early summer.
