Here at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte we are proud of our engaging education programs that feature classroom and community presentations, one-to-one outreach, peer education, family communication classes, and supportive youth development programs for at-risk male and female teens and pregnant/parenting teen girls. To add to our amazing team, we are seeking a part-time (2hrs/wk) Counseling Supervisor for our Reno location.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervision and on-going development of the counseling and processing skills of the facilitator staff who lead teen parent and at-risk youth support groups.
- Conducts weekly facilitator staff debriefing meetings and oversees group facilitating techniques by providing feedback and coaching on processing of individual and group issues
- Provides periodic staff training and oversees development in the following areas of counseling;
- Conflict resolution, communication skills, values clarification, and identifying and addressing barriers to behavioral change
- In conjunction with the facilitator staff, assist in development and periodic assessment of curriculum to meet program goals.
- Provides input to Director/Program Manager for interval performance reviews.
Qualifications:
- MFCC/MFT License preferred
- Masters degree in social work, psychology, or other related field: one year supervisory experience
