We are presently seeking highly skilled Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with great communication, clinical skills and a strong emphasis on excellent customer service to see our increasing, diverse patient population.
The Clinician will join the Client Service team and provide quality reproductive health care services including exams, diagnosis, treatment, education, and counseling for clients in accordance with PPLA protocols. The Clinician will also serve as a medical resource for other Licensed and Non-Licensed Staff.

Position Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
This position provides quality patient care including exam, diagnosis, treatment, education and counseling for clients in accordance with agency protocols. This position also includes, but is not limited to:
- Securing a complete health history, including gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and psychosocial
- Recording findings accurately and succinctly
- Performing physical exams with special emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast examination, pelvic examination, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections, and other types of more specialized procedures as may be indicated by medical policy
- Performing, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by affiliate medical protocols
- Recognizing and treating minor deviations from the normal, using prescribed protocols and consulting with the physician as needed
- Providing relevant health instruction to include family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance
- Collaborating with the health team and other community agencies and resources through joint planning and coordination of activities in providing comprehensive care
- Working to ensure understanding and acceptance of the role of the clinician by colleagues, other professionals, consumers, and the community at large
Requirements:
- Possess all applicable certifications, as required by the agency
- Must pass any applicable agency qualifying exam(s)
- Ability to travel to multiple clinic sites
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays
- A reliable means of transportation is required
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer service
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to diplomatically communicate and interact well with patients, staff and volunteers
- Able to demonstrate mature judgment, initiative and critical thinking

Qualifications: Education and Experience:
- Completion of Nurse Practitioner Course Work
- A valid and current California license as a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife
- Current furnishing license
- Current CPR certification is required
- Current ACLS certification may be required
- At least three years of experience in women’s health care is preferred
- National Certification is recommended
- DEA # may be required
