Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is the largest reproductive health care and sexuality education provider and advocate in northern New England. Our mission is to provide, promote, and protect access to reproductive health care and sexuality education so that all people can make voluntary choices about their reproductive and sexual health. Founded in 1965, PPNNE sees patients at 21 locations across Vermont, New Hampshire, and southern Maine.
Position Responsibilities:
Medical Director
We are seeking a board-certified OB/GYN with demonstrated leadership skills and relevant medical practice experience. We will also consider a board-certified Family Practitioner with expertise in family planning. Must be willing to obtain surgical and admitting privileges at a local hospital, as well as be licensed in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
Reporting to our CEO, the Medical Director provides oversight and supervision to our directors and clinicians to ensure the provision of high-quality care, with a strong focus on visionary leadership and teamwork. As an integral member of the management team, the Medical Director advises the CEO and Board on clinical matters; participates in the implementation and evaluation of PPNNE medical and risk & quality management programs; and provides medical supervision and guidance to affiliate staff, clinicians and physicians, as well as direct patient care.
Qualified candidates will have knowledge and experience with full range of contraception services, abortion, infertility, menopause, male services, colposcopy and management of cervical dysplasia, and gynecologic emergencies.
