Description of Organization:
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to PPFA’s effort to deliver effective sexuality education online by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and educational value of PPFA online content and social media messages in partnership with the Digital Media team. Direct the creation, updating and maintenance of educationally valuable health content for plannedparenthood.org, PPFA social media properties, and other online and mobile outlets by working with the Digital Media team to set objectives and strategies and approve new content.
- Oversee health publications program including
- Analyzing the current reach and substance of the program
- Engaging current and potential customers in decision making about new titles and revisions to current titles
- Creating engaging, marketable, accurate, and educationally sound reproductive and sexual health brochures
- Managing internal staff and vendors (graphic designers, translators, illustrators, printers, and customer service staff at the warehouse) for the production and distribution of publications
- Developing and executing marketing strategies
- Ensure high standards and consistency of health messaging through diverse channels of communication by
- Assisting with the continued development and maintenance of scripted messages used for PPFA chat/text program
- Providing background and information about reproductive and sexual health issues to the Media Department and other PPFA departments
- Augment the current reach of PPFA messages by writing and updating fact sheets, blog posts, and other materials related to reproductive and sexual health.
- Expand knowledge about the field of sexual health and sexuality education by keeping abreast of current research and communicating updates to PPFA and affiliate staff.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in sexual and reproductive health
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including highly developed editing skills
- Ability to translate clinical information and medical and public health research into plain language according to health literacy best practices
- Ability to balance priorities, juggle responsibilities, and meet deadlines
- Expertise in developing materials or programs for adolescents, particularly adolescents of color
- Experience developing publications
- Ability to read and write in Spanish
- Master’s Degree in public health, social work, or a related field
