Health Center Supervisor

• Assist in supervising, scheduling, and evaluation of staff as needed
• Provide on-going training of health center staff as needed
• Be available to serve as a resource for family planning staff
• Assume manager role in the absence of the Health Center Manager
• Provide direct care services such as routine laboratory procedures, vital signs and assist clinicians and/or physicians during exams and procedures, when needed
• Be available for patients in procedure rooms with instruction and explanation of procedure, process flow, and education on deep breathing exercises
• Based on needs of agency, provide vaginal and abdominal ultrasounds, as well as intra-operative ultrasound guidance
• Give basic information on birth control methods, STI’s, medication abortion, surgical abortion, vasectomy, prenatal care, colposcopy, LEEP, vasectomy and other services provided by PPMSM
• Ensure utilization of referral for services not offered at the health center such as abortion, LEEP, prenatal, colposcopy, and vasectomy services.
• Review encounter forms and charts for accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and provide information to the manager on health center efficiency, quality of services, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist manager in calculation of statistics on health center operations on goal attainment and budget planning
• Coordinate the ordering and distribution of supplies. Ensure that adequate levels of supplies are available in office areas and that equipment is in proper working order.
• Keep current on billing practices and insurance reimbursement and Plan First
• Ensure that adequate levels of supplies are available in office area and that equipment is in proper working order, cleaned and calibrated.
• Coordinate with Health Center Manager to appropriate clinic schedule based on no-show rates and patient demand
• Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained
  
• Understands and participates in the referral/follow-up system
• Ensure adherence to agency cash handling policies and handle health center banking activities
• Ensure completion of health center logs used to maintain health center quality
  

• 2 years of health care experience required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Family planning or reproductive health experience strongly preferred
• Supervisory experience a plus.
