Position Responsibilities:

PPOSBC has a full-time opportunity for an Assistant Manager to support the Orange Health Center Manager facilitate effective functioning of the medical center and services provided. Must be available to work flexible hours to include weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and evenings (until 7:30 pm).

The ideal candidate will be able to work with and under the direction of the Center Manager to assure center’s compliance regarding agency, state and federal regulations, monitoring of protocol compliance and service delivery. Must have understanding of HMO’s, Medi-Cal and FPACT requirements and be able to ensure current labor laws are followed. Must have the ability and willingness to perform the essential duties of the Manager in emergencies and in the absence of the Manager. Report any problems, incidents involving patients and/or staff. Participate in the orientation and training of new employees/volunteers. Aid in the oversight and management of health center assistant staff including annual evaluations and performance improvement plans. Monitor the opening and closing of the center including phone coverage. Must have the understanding to handle daily financial operations of center, the ability to maintain confidentiality of management and administrative issues.

This candidate must be able to direct, train and deploy staff in the: Scheduling of appointments for family planning including but not limited to contraceptives and abortion services, while ensuring optimal facility appearance (internal and external) including exam, triage, staff and waiting rooms.

Qualified candidates must possess the following qualifications: Strong commitment to quality healthcare. Ability to relate to diverse communities. A warm, caring manner and excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail essential. Computer literate.



Qualifications:
Supervisory or management experience desired, along with experience in a surgical setting. High school diploma required. Some college preferred. Minimum one-year reproductive, managed/primary health care and/or abortion services experience.
