Field Organizer

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains(PPRM) the leader in reproductive health care services is currently seeking a part-time Field Organizer for the Las Vegas, NV area. Under the supervision of the Public Affairs Manager, the Field Organizer is responsible for implementing a measurable field operations plan to increase overall support for reproductive justice in Southern Nevada. An essential component of the job is community relations through recruiting and maintaining an activist base in targeted communities and creating and maintaining effective student groups to run campaigns on college campuses. The Field Organizer will also coordinate mobilization for phone banks, legislative activism, canvassing, volunteer trainings, get out the vote initiatives, voter education, and outreach booths. This person serves as a member of PPRM’s Public Affairs team and assists in educating local, state and federal office holders and voters on issues critical to the mission of Planned Parenthood. This position is based in Las Vegas with travel to assigned areas of the state and other areas of the PPRM region as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree or demonstrated equivalent experience in a relevant field, campaign organizing skills and database management experience are strongly preferred. This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills, especially comfort in asking people to take action. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Public speaking experience preferred. General knowledge of legislative and electoral processes required. Excellent computer skills including database management and Microsoft Office programs required.. PPRM offers competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.
