Description of Organization:
The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP) is a non-profit membership association comprised of highly qualified and committed experts in reproductive health. Its members are professionals who provide reproductive health services and education, conduct reproductive health research, and influence reproductive health policy, and they include physicians, advanced practice clinicians (nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and physician assistants), researchers, educators, pharmacists, and other professionals in reproductive health. Position Responsibilities:

Interns may support work related to the following activities.

  • Reproductive Health Topic Areas for www.arhp.org
  • Continuing education accreditation compliance tasks and certificate processing for ARHP constituents
  • Needs assessment research on clinician education opportunities
  • Publication development and fulfillment
  • The Curricula Organizer for Reproductive Health Education (CORE) and The Global Opportunities Tool (GO Tool) web-based resources
  • Promotion for upcoming ARHP programs and membership activities
  • Maintenance of ARHP’s social networking sites
  • Preparation for ARHP’s annual meeting, Reproductive Health 2011
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
Students interested in and familiar with reproductive health issues are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be team players with good oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn and adapt quickly. Ability to be innovative, organized, manage time well, provide excellent customer service, and experience with 2007 Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet are preferred. Applicants must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program and be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for a minimum of 8 weeks.
