Position Responsibilities:
Direct day-to-day activities of RHS staff for the provision of safe, high quality, accessible and affordable abortion, options counseling services, and limited contraceptive care. Assures compliance of PPFA, PPSLR, state and local policies, procedures, regulations. Actively participates in physician and staff recruitment, training and retention. Assures training and compliance of division staff. Assures compliance with all safety, risk and quality management and infection control policies and programs. Assures compliance with PPSLR fiscal policies and procedures related to all income and expenditures. May provides public and community relations/outreach to area physicians, medical schools, hospitals, nursing and social service agencies/departments. Requires working weekends and some evenings.
Qualifications:
- At least three years of management experience, including management of personnel, medical systems, and fiscal oversight and accountability
- Will consider several disciplines: Master prepared candidate (preferred) in relevant fields, i.e. social work, business, health care management, etc; or LPN/RN/NP
- Strong preference for candidate with experience in an outpatient surgical setting
- Must be able to coordinate multiple priorities and work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work with multi-disciplined teams, including physicians, counseling and educators, students, and volunteers
- Must understand risk and quality management issues, patient safety, and compliance issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to ensure clients quality abortion and contraceptive care services
- Must be able to work some evenings and Saturdays
RISK MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Adheres to PPSLR and department policies that ensure the provision of the highest quality and most professional services to all PPSLR clients
- Protects PPSLR’s assets from liability
- Assures for the physical safety of PPSLR clients, staff, and volunteers
- Protects confidentiality of all PPSLR clients, donors, Board and all areas of operations
- Follows HIPAA privacy and security guidelines
