Description of Organization: To improve the quality of life by enabling all people to exercise individual choice in their own reproductive health. Position Responsibilities: This person would be responsible for optimizing the health care revenue cycle of the organization including the timely and efficient capture, management, and collection of patient and third party service revenue. Individual will develop, implement, and manage efficient and effective operational policies, processes and best practices within functions of the revenue cycle including billing operations, patient accounts, claims processing, third party payer contracts, provider credentialing, fee schedules, coding and compliance, and accounts receivable management. Must be able to build cross departmental consensus on major revenue cycle issues and lead major improvement initiatives. Responsible for the business analysis function including the development of business metrics and performance reports supporting all areas of the organization. Also serves as the organization’s HIPAA Privacy Official, responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of agency-wide privacy and security policies and procedures. Directly supervises the Billing Department Manager, Business Analyst, and Credentialing Coordinator.
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in health care management, patient financial services, health information management or similar health care revenue cycle experience and 100% committed to the PPRM Mission. Undergraduate Degree in business or health care related discipline, Masters Degree preferred. Must have a working knowledge of health care practice management systems, ICD-9 & CPT-4 coding, claims processing, third party insurance operations, health care financial indicators and medical terminology. Must possess strong supervisory, communications, personnel management, and leadership abilities with demonstrated skills to assess needs, plan strategically and evaluate implementation of programs. Be able to work flexible hours with occasional weekends and evenings, travel locally and nationally as necessary.
