Position Responsibilities:
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Primary duties will be development, management, marketing and expansion of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s (PPMM) education and youth development programs and services including the array of school-based education programs (e.g., high school, middle school, elementary school, special needs youth, etc.), community education, parent-youth communication, outreach activities, Male Involvement, Teen Talk and other related services. Establish consistent program content, curricula, logic models, benchmarks, accountability and staff knowledge and skills. Ensure that all education programs comply with PPMM policies and procedures and support the PPMM mission and brand. Establish and enhance effective relationships with existing and potential funding sources and donors that result in resources for programs. Conduct program evaluations, generate reports, and achieve a track record of positive business performance for the product/service line. Essential Duties Review all education programs and create consistent curricula, activities, logic models and protocols for each of PPMM’s programs. Ensure that all current and future programs reflect best practices and latest research. Analyze historical data and costs to establish appropriate pricing for each program. Set consistent productivity standards and benchmarks for all education services. In conjunction with the AVP of Education and Regional Director of Education, create new and/or package existing programs or services that meet the needs of funding sources. Once funded, ensure that there are adequate systems and procedures in place to implement programs/services and ensure high quality programming that meet the needs of funder. Provide technical assistance and/or training to RPM and frontline staff. Provide training and technical assistance to education and other PPMM department staff, as needed, to ensure adequate knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively achieve goals of the Education Department business plan. Ensure that all reports are submitted in a timely and accurate manner. Work across PPMM departments, such as Finance, to ensure that there are adequate systems and communication in place to ensure timely reporting. Ensure all education staff have adequate skills and knowledge to use the data base system (i.e., enter and extract data) and can teach their staff to also use the system. Conduct periodic quality assurance assessments of the data base and take corrective action to ensure the tool contains timely and accurate information. Create a marketing/communications plan to promote assigned PPMM’s education programs and services. Ensure that the PPMM website is regularly updated and that collateral materials that support education programs and services are created, approved by appropriate review, and disseminated for use. Conduct pregnancy prevention and other appropriate research, analyze data and produce reports to support the successful creation and implementation of PPMM’s education programs that support the PPMM brand. Ensure easy access to this data by all Education staff. Periodically (at least annually) update research and inform staff of the latest information to ensure PPMM education programs are compliant with education codes in states within our service area. Ensure a high degree of excellent internal and external customer service in all aspects of performance of duties. Travel regularly to regional and other sites to conduct business. Assist in the development of the PPMM annual strategic business plan in conjunction with Education staff and leadership. Non-essential Duties Identify and participate in appropriate state and local collaboratives and task forces. Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of education meetings such as All Staff day ensuring that these are accomplished within budget. Other duties, as assigned.

Ability to perform the duties described above. A typical means of acquiring those abilities would be: Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Master’s Degree, preferred. Five+ years experience in reproductive health, at-risk youth, counseling, pregnancy prevention, training, management, marketing, fundraising or related fields. Competence with Microsoft Office and data base management. REQUIREMENTS Significant expertise and depth of knowledge of sexuality education, family planning, group facilitation, training, education, marketing and project management. Ability to provide a high degree of customer service, teamsmanship and systems thinking to address and resolve issues. Ability to establish effective working relationships with and positively influence broad audiences. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in an environment of changing priorities. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to drive and travel frequently to all parts of the PPMM service area. Able to work nights and weekends as required.
