Web Faculty Bios

  • David Grimes, MD: He is one of a small number of U.S. physicians Board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and in preventive medicine. His research interests have focused on fertility regulation, technology assessment, sexually transmitted diseases, and clinical epidemiology. He currently serves as Vice President of Biomedical Affairs at Family Health International and Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UNC.
  • Anne Moore, NP: She speaks nationally on topics related to the health care of women. She is currently Professor of Nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she developed the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program in 1992. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she maintains an active clinical practice in Nashville.
  • Steven Sondheimer, MD: His research interests include contraception, infertility, and mood disorders and the menstrual cycle. He is currently Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He is also a Board certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist, and is the Medical Director of the Family Planning Program at the University.
  • Susan Wysocki, RN-C, NP: She has authored numerous articles about issues in women’s health and is one of the Ask the Experts for Medscape for Nurse Practitioners. She is currently the President and CEO of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH). She is a woman’s health nurse practitioner certified by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) and a national recognized speaker and opinion leader in the field of women’s health.

Accreditation Information

The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. ARHP designates its web-based continuing medical education activities for 1 credit hour in Category 1 of the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. This activity has been approved by the Continuing Education Approval Program of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health for 1 contact hour. Credit can be applied toward the nursing continuing requirements of most professional organizations and State Boards of Nursing.
