Reproductive Health Model Curriculum
The Reproductive Health Model Curriculum, now in its 2nd Edition, is a comprehensive, 7-module resource designed to assist educators, students, and health care providers with strengthening reproductive health education and services. The Curriculum is an adaptable teaching tool that can be used in medical schools, nursing schools, physician assistant programs, residency training programs, or as an inservice training tool to strengthen the reproductive health services of practicing health care providers.
The Curriculum emphasizes improving provider-patient communication skills and cultural competence, with special attention paid to psychosocial, psychological, and demographic factors in relation to health care. The 2 nd Edition Curriculum includes new sections, updated medical content, and links to thousands of resources. Also included are examples of 1 st Edition use in a variety of educational settings (Implementation Guide), an extensive bibliography, and a list of hundreds of organizations working on health care issues (Organizational Resources).
The Curriculum includes learning objectives from the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO)
