Curriculum Initiative for Reproductive Health:
A New Vision for Clinical Education

The Curriculum Initiative for Reproductive Health is ARHP’s signature program for improving the way comprehensive, evidence-based reproductive health information is taught in US medical schools and training programs for advanced practice nurses and physician assistants. Educators, students, and pharmacists can use Initiative resources to integrate reproductive health information into their curricula. Practicing providers may also find Initiative resources useful for developing in-service trainings designed to improve patient care.

ARHP leaders and staff have developed a number of strategies to achieve Initiative goals.

Providing Educational Content
ARHP offers comprehensive, evidence-based reproductive health information in different formats to fit a variety of educational settings.

Conducting Outreach
ARHP is working to build a cadre of professionals who are committed to improving the way reproductive health information is taught in US health professions programs.

Identifying Platforms for Change
ARHP helps health professions educators, administrators, students, and professionals identify ways to initiate and promote reproductive health curricula reform at their institution or practice.

All information included in Initiative resources is peer-reviewed by committees of experts in the fields of reproductive health and curricula development for health professions education.
