Ellen L. Cohen, CertEd, DipEd, CCMEP, director of education, oversees the education department's activities, including development, planning, logistics, and accreditation compliance for all professional and public education activities. She is a member of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education and has 29 years of professional education, program development, and meeting management experience in the United States and the United Kingdom. Ellen earned a CertEd, and a DipEd from the University of London, England, Institute of Education.

Alayna Florman, development manager, manages various proposals and development initiatives at ARHP. She works closely with ARHP team members to encourage and secure funding opportunities for upcoming and existing projects. Her primary focus is continuing medical education for clinicians and patient education progression. Alayna’s previous experiences include pediatric oncology research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she concentrated on health communications. Alayna has worked internationally in China, Thailand, and Africa advancing public health initiatives and community hospital networks. Alayna received her Master’s in Health Promotion from Indiana University with an expertise in infectious disease and human sexuality.

Jeff Glispie, information technology manager, coordinates ARHP's information technology activities, including networking, equipment maintenance, and user support. He also evaluates current technologies and future trends and makes recommendations to ensure compatibility and adaptability for the future of ARHP. Jeff is pursuing a bachelor's degree in management of computer information systems from the University of Maryland.

Camille V. Harris, MPH, program manager, is managing several of ARHP's key programs. She is an experienced educator and manager, having developed and implemented an award-winning teen pregnancy prevention program for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. Her past experience also includes work with Concerned Black Men, The Women's Collective and The Quality Education for Minorities Network, providing HIV/AIDS and STI prevention education to youth and adults. Camille holds a Master of Public Health degree from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampton University in Virginia. Camille serves on the executive board of two local non-profit organizations.

Delysha D'Mellow Henry, MPH, program manager, is in charge of Curricula Organizer for Reproductive Health Education ( CORE ), an online, interactive tool that features peer-reviewed, evidence-based teaching materials. She has held various positions related to women's health and HIV prevention at the National Institutes of Health, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Columbia University. Delysha holds a master's of public health degree in health education and communication from Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Beth Jordan, MD, medical director, is an internist specializing in women's health who also serves as medical director of the Feminist Majority Foundation and medical advisor to Ms. Magazine. A former board member of Medical Students for Choice, Beth speaks on scientific and political topics related to women's health on college campuses and at medical schools and continues to practice medicine. Beth received her medical training from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency there.

Aleya Horn Kennedy, MPP, program manager, works primarily on the Curricula Organizer for Reproductive Health Education (CORE), an online, interactive tool that features peer-reviewed, evidence-based teaching materials. Aleya has previously worked at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the American Association of Medical Colleges and Planned Parenthood of Central Pennsylvania. She is most interested in women's health issues and received a master of public policy from Georgetown University and a bachelor of arts in sociology from McDaniel College.  

Martha March, MBA, operations manager, is involved with a variety of administrative and financial tasks. Before joining ARHP, she worked as a financial analyst, ran a successful faux finish painting business, was a high school substitute teacher, and a tutor in math and English as a second language. Martha holds a master's of business administration in finance from Dalhousie University.

Amy McKiernan, MA, membership assistant, works to expand and grow ARHP membership while supporting current and new ARHP members. Amy received her master's in philosophy and social policy from American University where she focused on feminist bioethics. Prior to arriving in Washington, DC, Amy completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Scranton with a major in philosophy, a minor in counseling and human services, and a concentration in women's studies. She also served for two years as the program coordinator of the Jane Kopas Women's Center at The University of Scranton where she worked to prevent gender-based violence and promote women's leadership and student development.

Beth Robbins, MBA, director of communications, oversees marketing, organizational positioning, web strategy, and membership growth for ARHP. She has over a decade of experience leading organizations in the public sector, including Business and Professional Women and Ms. Magazine. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Richmond and earned a master's in business administration in nonprofit management from Boston University.

Rebecca Sager, director of development, brings extensive experience in fundraising and development to ARHP. As Alliance for Justice's director of development, she was responsible for implementing, enhancing, and supporting multifaceted fundraising strategies to sustain and expand the organization's operating budget. She also served in key fundraising positions for progressive organizations such as the Institute for Women's Policy Research, People for the American Way, and NARAL Pro-Choice America. Rebecca earned a bachelor's degree in women's studies from the University of Minnesota.

Wayne C. Shields, president and chief executive officer, has guided the development and implementation of health education initiatives, scientific programs, and policy activities at ARHP since 1991, and has served in his current position since 1998. He is on the editorial boards of Contraceptive Technology Update, the European Journal of Contraception and Reproductive Health, and Clinical Proceedings in Reproductive Health. He is a board member of the National Cervical Cancer Coalition, serves on the advisory boards of the International Consortium for Emergency Contraception and the American Society for Emergency Contraception, and was recently elected chair of the Population, Reproductive, and Sexual Health section of the American Public Health Association.  Mr. Shields also serves on the steering committee and is an expert advisor for the Initiative for Multipurpose Prevention Technologies (IMPT) at the Public Health Institute. He has an undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies and English Literature, and studied organizational management in a graduate program at the George Washington University.

Amy M. Swann, MA, CAE, vice president of operations, oversees the organization’s operations, with an emphasis on board relations, finance, human resources, and strategic planning. She has many years' experience working with organizations focused on empowerment of women and girls, including the DC Rape Crisis Center, Women’s Information Network, My Sister’s Place and the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capitol. She is currently a member of the board of directors for Calvary Women’s Services. Amy earned a master's degree in organizational management from George Washington University.
